The Junior Middle School English Curriculum Standards(2011 edition)states that teaching should involve all students,focusing on all-round development of language learners.The main task of English curriculum is to improve students' learning initiative and comprehensive English ability.Reading is an important way to get knowledge input,which is helpful to develop students' overall ability.Unluckily,under the influence of the examination-oriented pressure,English reading class focuses more on written test scores,ignoring students' comprehensive English ability and autonomy and lacks flexible interaction between teachers and students.It is difficult to take students' personality and needs into account.In view of the above observation,this research hopes to explore some reading classroom interactive strategies in line with students' actual level to improve the reading teaching efficiency in junior middle school according to interactive theories and needs analysis.Referring to the existing problems above,taking Y school as an example,this paper researches the current English reading situation and students' needs in English reading by using classroom observation,questionnaire,experiment,pre-test and post-test.It focuses on the following points :(1)Researching the current degree of needs satisfaction in junior middle school English classroom through classroom observation;(2)Observing and evaluating the existent strategies and problems that are used for meeting students' needs by analyzing the outcome of questionnaires;(3)Exploring applicable interactive strategies for junior middle school English reading teaching in view of the current problems by combining the principles of interactive theory.The results manifest that:(1)Students' needs of emotion,critical thinking,and intercultural awareness should also be addressed besides language knowledge and skills.(2)Teachers have only paid attention to students' learning habits,vocabulary,grammar and certain reading skills,ignoring students' needs of emotion,critical thinking ability and intercultural awareness.(3)Junior Middle School English reading class can take the three steps of interactive strategies to meet students' needs and improve teaching efficiency.The specific interactive strategies are as follows:(1)Topic-oriented interactive strategy to cultivate students' intercultural awareness and pave way for cultivating critical thinking ability through the interaction between teachers and students.(2)Hierarchical task-oriented interactive strategy to enhance students' self-confidence,language expression ability,understanding ability and cultivate students' critical reading skills in the process of student-text interaction.(3)Evaluation-oriented interactive strategy to excite students' evaluative awareness and develop critical thinking ability between the interactions among students.
