Abe Kobo is a great existentialist in the history of Japanese literature.His works are closely combined with the background of his works,reflecting people's pursuit of freedom in the predicament.This paper attempts to select the representative works of the three stages of the Abe Kobo,sorts out the freedom thought contained in the literary works,and realizes how the Abe Kobo organically combines the existential freedom thought with the works,revealing the connotation and significance of its freedom view.The thesis consists of introduction and text.In the introduction part.Firstly,introduce the creative achievement and research motivation of the Abe Kobo.Secondly,summarizes the research results of the beforehand.Thirdly,explains the reasons for choosing the topic and sorts out the innovation of the paper.Finally,states the research methods and research value of the paper.The text is divided into three parts.The first part introduces the concept of freedom of Abe Kobo and its background.Firstly,gives a brief overview of his concept of freedom,and explains the meaning of his concept of freedom from the literary and philosophical perspectives.Then explains the social reasons for the formation of his concept of freedom from his personal experience and social background.Finally makes a proper analysis of the relationship between Abe Kobo and Japanese existentialist philosophy.The second part uses some ideas of Heidegger's philosophy of liberal ideas and Jaspers' s philosophy of existence.Research is based on the Abe Kobo's representative work of early,middle and late.And analyzing the ways of seeking freedom of the characters in his works in different predicament.And excavating the free thought influence on the literary works in different development stage.Finally,sort out the Abe Kobo's whole works idea of freedom.The third part analyzes the connotation of the concept of freedom in Abe Kobo's works.First of all,freedom means respect of our life.From the perspective of life,it clarifies the loss of individual freedom when individuals live in society.Individuals can only get rid of the control of collective consciousness by self-reflection from the heart.People should publicize their own vitality,not ignore the importance of life itself,and should get rid of the freedom of material nature.Secondly,freedom is the value of individual soul.From the perspective of traditionrepresented by the countryside and modernity represented by the city,the comparison between these two civilizations reflects the individual's thinking on free existence.It is believed that the true state of freedom is a joy in life,which comes from the inner soul of the individual.Finally,freedom is the search for the true self.First,from the perspective of the relationship between people,it illustrates the control of money over individual thoughts.Then,starting from the essence of individual uniqueness,it shows that everyone has his own limitations,and only by doing a good job in self-construction and governance can individuals pursue a free life,maintain their subjectivity,and then obtain real freedom.The epilogue points out the philosophy contained in Abe Kobo's literary works,which makes us reflect on our existence and consider whether we are in a free state.
