Ming shizong was the eleventh emperor of the Ming dynasty and also a famous Taoist believer in history.Shizong's worship of Taoism had a serious negative impact on the jiajing dynasty.Emperor taizu of the Ming dynasty,in view of the experience and lessons of the previous dynasties, formulated the religious policy of Buddhism and Taoism, using both restrictions, and the subsequent emperors worshiping Buddhism and Taoism, thus reducing the religious policy of emperor taizu to dead letter. In the early period of the reign of emperor Shizong, there was no special emphasis on Taoism, but both religions were fond of Buddhism and Taoism, after six years of jiajing December worship of Taoism.Shizong's worship of Taoism was divided into three stages, namely, the fasting period, the transitional period, the order to serve the xuan period. With the gradual expansion of the scale of worship of Taoism, during the period of the order to serve the xuan period, shizong established himself as the sovereign of Taoism and moved to xiyuan, where he specialized in Zhai Jiao and associated state affairs with xuanxiu.Shizong's worship of Taoism brought serious negative influence to jiajing's government. To study the worship of Taoism in Ming shizong,we must sort out the causes and consequences and the beginning and end of the worship of Taoism in Ming shizong, trace back to the source and explore when, where and under what factors influenced the worship of Taoism in Ming shizong,so that he established Taoism as his only religious belief, and then deeply study the far-reaching impact of the worship of Taoism on national politics. The influence of the worship of Taoism in Ming shizongon the administration of the jiajing dynasty should be analyzed systematically under the complicated political environment of the jiajing dynasty.
