A Brief Analysis Of The Artistic Characteristics Of Mr.Chen Xinruo's Works "The Banished Immortals"

The Banished Immortal' is a surnay concerto created by composer Chen Xinruo in June 2019.This concerto is in a setting of the wild character of the ancient poet Li Bai.When analyzing and playing this concerto,I followed the traditional performance techniques.In the meantime,I added new performance techniques,so that the concerto became innovative and developed.Itsunique historical background,inherited methods,and cultural background make surnay performance extraordinary.This thesis is divided into three chapters: the first chapter introduces the basic situation,background and techniques of ‘The Banished Immortal';the second chapter introduces the performance techniques,difficulties of the concerto and the perception of the band;the third chapter introduces how to play a new concerto and the contrast with the traditional repertoire.In December 2019 in my second graduation concert I played this concerto.Through many years of surnay learning and surnay performance I sum up experience in surnay performance and make a summary of the comprehensive interpretation,analysis and summary of the musical features so that I have a sense of the way of thinking and art regularity of surnay playing.I sincerely hope that this thesis will be helpful to the players and it can open up a convenient and effective channel to provide reference for scholars.
