Marion Hourdequin's ecological thought has inherited excellent historical accumulation and integrated the environmental hot spots of the times,nurturing new thoughts in the communication,dialogue and criticism of environmental ethics.It has also laid a good foundation for the further development of research on the frontier problems of philosophy.Hourdequin advocated the transformation of environmental ethics from the theoretical dimension to the practical dimension.Starting from the environmental value,she stressed the importance of reflective balance in dealing with the relationship between man and nature,put forward the urgency of broadening moral care,and pointed out the effectiveness of adhering to the precautionary principle.Then,along the clue of environmental ethics,she explored the era context on environmental justice and expounded the development of the concept on sustainability.In addition to this,she clarified the controversy of geoengineering.At last,from the perspective of environmental practice,she transcended the limitation of time,place and role,exerted the moral imagination of nature,and thus realized the ecological travel of soul.She paid attention to the historical authenticity of restoring nature,tapped the potential of ecological restoration,and promoted the process of ecological practice;she rooted in the interactive foundation between human and nature,promoted the global exchange of environmental issues,and endowed ecological culture with new connotation.Her ecological thought integrated values,ethics and practice,enriched the basic content of environmental ethics and innovated our moral thinking mode.Her thought has extremely high historical value and great practical significance,which is conductive to the construction of ecological environment and the development of ecological civilization nowadays.
