Figure-ground relation is important gestalt principles of gestalt psychology,belongs to the focus of visual psychology,figure and ground transform and set off each other in the picture.The relationship between the figure and ground is widely used in the design field today,but in the painting creation,it is only discussed in the degree that the picture is the main body of the painting image and the ground is just the background,or it is studied in the application of the ground symbiosis in the paintings.Lacquer painting,as a new kind of painting,is less talked about in terms of figure-ground relation.The balance that needs to be considered in visual art requires the help of figure-ground relation,which does not stop here.This paper explore the relationship between figure-ground relation and lacquer painting creation from two aspects,one is the visual balance of figure-ground relation,the other is that figure-ground relation also implies reflecting artistic conception and feeling,and thus can explore lacquer painting art creation,and through outstanding works in other painting types of graphic visual arts such as oil paintings and illustrations as a basis for argument and analysis.
