Comparative Study On The Construction Of Drama Education Major

Drama education is divided into broad sense and narrow sense.The broad sense of drama education refers to the theater majors undertaken by professional theater colleges.It is intended to train specialized drama art professionals,such as drama,film,literature,performance,director,etc.,And narrow theater education,this refers to the undergraduate major in drama education set up in specialized arts colleges.This dissertation mainly discusses the undergraduate major in drama education in a narrow sense.As a new undergraduate professional direction under the discipline of arts,currently there are only three Higher Art Colleges in the mainland China,including the Central Academy of Drama,Shanghai Theater Academy,and Yunnan Arts University.There are three majors from the perspective of professional construction.The emphasis of the school's drama education specialty varies.This dissertation is based on interviews with experts and scholars in the field of drama education and applied drama industry at home and abroad,collating and summarizing the feedback from the questionnaires of students,graduates,professional teachers,and professional leaders of drama education in the three mainland universities in China.Contrast and study the six major construction contents of the majors of drama education in mainland China,the professional curriculum,the admissions examination,the construction of the teaching staff,the graduation topic selection and creation,and the report on the quality of graduate employment,and further analysis of foreign countries and domestic Taiwan has a long history of majoring in drama education,including University of Victoria in Canada,Royal Central School of Speech & Drama,and Tainan University,Taiwan.Finally,it tries to give feasible suggestions for the future development of drama education in the mainland of China from four aspects: "talent training","teacher team and resources","scientific research" and "social service and professional.reputation".
