As a learning strategy, retrieval practice has been widely valued by researchers in the field of psychology and pedagogy. The "retrieval practice effect" refers to the fact that retrieval information from a learning material once or more in an equivalent amount of time produces a more lasting memory retention in the final test than repeatedly learning the material.Follow-up studies have also proposed the forward test effect, which means that when participants learn multiple groups of information continuously, testing the previously learned information can enhance the long-term memory of subsequent learning of new information. Our cognitive resources are limited, and mastering large amounts of information or skills in a short period of time is a considerable challenge. Therefore, when learning multiple groups of information continuously, continuous testing in the learning process will reduce the proactive interference from the previous materials and promote the retention of new information in the subsequent learning. The forward testing effect has been verified in various speech materials. However, there is only one verification study on spatial information materials. In order to further enrich the research of the forward test effect on spatial information,we discuss the effectiveness of the forward test effect in the memory of visual spatial route information. In this study,112 college students were randomly selected to participate in the experiment.According to the prior to the test effect has formed extensive experimental procedures, using space route information memory study way, asked participants to pass along the route, remember after buildings and in order to recall test, the task requires participants through the virtual route in the environment a series of place to learn the course of building information. In the first study, the effect of forward testing in the learning of spatial route information under different directions of the same scene is discussed. The results show that compared with the repeated learning, the participants under the test condition have better recall effect on the spatial route information, which verifies the effect of forward testing in the learning of spatial route information. In order to avoid the scene familiarity and the increased amount of information on to the effects of testing effect, before the two different scenarios are discussed in the same direction under the background of visualspace route information study to test effect, copy the experimental results, the study of a verified prior to testing effect in the visual space of route information learning stability. To sum up,this study discusses the forward test effect on the visual spatial route information. The existence of the forward test effect is verified whether the route learning is conducted in the background of different directions in the same scene or in the same direction in different scenes.Through continuous testing, the retention of new information was enhanced and the proactive interference was reduced. The research on the forward test effect is successfully extended to the learning of visual spatial route information, which enriches the exploratory research on the forward test effect in spatial memory, links the effectiveness of the forward test effect on spatial memory with daily activities, and enhances the practicality of the forward test effect in life.
