Writing is one of the four basic skills for learners to English learning to test the learners' ability of using and grasping the knowledge they have learned, especially the ability to apply comprehensive language knowledge and language skills. The New Curriculum Standard(2017)puts forward to develop the students' core literacy of English subject while English writing is one of the most important parts. However, the current situation of middle school students' English writing in some remote rural schools is depressing. In order to solve this problem, many scholars at home and abroad came up with the integration of reading and writing method and carried out a series of experiments. But most of the researches are only conducted in urban school, rarely in remote rural middle school. Therefore, based on Krashen's input hypothesis and Swain's output hypothesis, this paper carries out the teaching experiments in the second grade of junior middle school in remote rural area. This paper focuses on the following questions:(1).What changes have taken place in students' English writing achievement with the help of the integration of reading and writing in the aspects of content, structure, vocabulary and grammar?(2).What's the students' attitude towards the integration of reading and writing method? In order to study the above questions, this research took two parallel classes taught by the researcher as the research subject. One was set as the experimental class and the other was the control class for teaching experiments.During the experiment, the experimental class and the control class used the same teaching material. The difference is that the experimental class adopted the integration of reading and writing method, while the control class accepted the traditional teaching method for writing.Through the pre-test,post-test and questionnaire, the researcher studies the effect of the integration of reading and writing method on Grade Two students' English writing achievement. The collected original data were analyzed by SPSS21.0 software and the research results are as follows:(1)The writing achievement of the students in the experimental class has improved significantly in the aspects of the content, structure, vocabulary and grammar.Thecompositions written by the students in post-test show that the content is more integrated, structure is more reasonable, vocabulary used is richer and grammar is correct. It presents that the integration of reading and writing method can effectively improve students' writing achievement.(2)After a period of study, they prefer the integration of reading and writing method to traditional English writing teaching method.Because the integration of reading and writing method not only helps them improve their English writing achievement, but also stimulates their interest in learning English. Therefore,it is suggested that English teachers in junior middle schools, especially those in rural middle schools, should apply the integration of reading and writing method in the teaching process to help students improve their English writing achievement.
