Research On The Expression And Application Of Space In Book Design

Books are the most effective carriers for inheriting the essence of human civilization.They not only undertake the function of disseming the ideas of predecessors,but also record the progress of human history.With the development of printing,books have become valuable collections.Under the background of increasingly huge book market,traditional paper books usher in new opportunities for transformation.Opportunities and challenges coexist.With the rapid development of society,economy,culture and other fields and the rapid development of media,people's lifestyle has changed greatly.The form of books changes with the development of science and technology,and today's electronic devices can easily store massive books.Information storage is no longer the foothold of paper books.The aesthetic taste and interests of the public are gradually personalized and diversified.People are no longer satisfied with the single binding form of books.Therefore,the concept of book design also keeps pace with the times,and the research on the performance and application of space in book design becomes very important.Design books need to have a sense of the whole,fully consider the various organizational structure of the book,the designer should reasonably combine the various parts according to the rational and perceptual knowledge generated by the content.In any book,it is not a whole design to design the cover graphics independently without considering other structures.From appearance form to internal structure,from visual expression to text content,from two-dimensional plane to three-dimensional space structure.It can be seen that taking the multi latitude space performance in book design as the design starting point coincides with the integrity concept of book design.This paper first analyzes the formation and development of book design concept,and briefly describes the current situation of book design in China.On the basis of reviewing the history of the development of book form in our country,taking the performance and application of book design space as the breakthrough point,this paper analyzes the concept and expression method of space in book design from three dimensions: two-dimensional visual space,three-dimensional space and psychological space in book design,and summarizes the rules.Then,based on practical works,this paper further discusses the expression and application of space in book design,expounds the design concept,design techniques and visual presentation effect of practical works,and finally analyzes the main factors influencing the change of book space form and the importance of space in book design,and summarizes the rules for reference.
