The Reflection On Expression Language Of Two Dimensional Design In Three Dimensional Space

In modern times with the general enhancement of aesthetic level of the whole society, design is everywhere and indispensable from our daily life. It is a combination of material content and spiritual pursuit. The everyday objects with a strong sense of design, the public media, or the designing space are transformed and enriched on the basis of plane figures and colors. People employ points, lines and surfaces which constitute the plane design, different orders of spatial organization and their modifications of different degrees and ways with regard to the forms, contents and sequences of the existing environmental objects in order to create new visual forms and pack up the artificial environment. Thus, a discussion on the possibility and innovativeness of the combination of two-dimensional pictures and three-dimensional spaces emerges. This involves an application of visual psychology and an in-depth exploration of the recognition of space consciousness by means of Gestalt psychology to lay a solid foundation for the analysis of modes and means of the application of three-dimensional modelling design in two-dimensional graphic design. The paper interprets the relation between the two from two perspectives. One point is that the research and development of graphic design can better serve the designing realization of realistic three-dimensional space. The other point is that the three-dimensional space can be extracted and presented through two-dimensional graphic design after the processing and transformation of perception. Those two points are inter-dependent and will better embody their vital roles in the development of diversified communication media in a new era.
