On The Space Construction Of Documentary

“Space” has several attributes.It is not only the material space in the physical world but also the camera space in the film and television works.It also includes the culture space and virtual space during and after the communication.In a documentary,such a real spatial construction,we need to study the form,connotation,and meaning of “space” from different perspectives with different skills.By effectively designing the distribution,pattern,people,environment,light,color,and others in the camera of a documentary,we can express the “space” in the documentary more comprehensively.This paper enters the space that the filmmaker wants to express by the camera of the documentary Century-old Teahouse.In the camera,the material space of the “old teahouse” is fixed.Through the camera of the filmmaker,the space of the teahouse is extended beyond the picture and integrated with the realistic society.The objective and subjective intentions are shown to the audiences more clearly with the technique of spatial construction,and the strong and imaginative artistic attributes are given to the documentary Century-old Teahouse.The reality of life and the artistic quality of the creator are integrated into the “space”.Based on the graduation works "century-old teahouse" as the research object,by Li Xianjie film narrative: theory and examples of "space" theory as the basis,using the method of literature review,culture method,comparative research,on-the-spot investigation method,combined with depth resolution,tease out from real space to audio-visual space in documentary space building technique,so as to provide reference for the space of documentary creation techniques and thinking.
