While The Light Lasts

Mr.Zong Qixiang is an outstanding artist in the history of modern Chinese art.He successfully combines the artistic conception in traditional Chinese painting with the expression form of Western realistic art.In his artistic career,the night landscape paintings of riverside city(this word refers to the city by the river,or "riverside city" for short)are particularly brilliant,with unique style.This paper analyzes the artistic characteristics of Zong Qixiang's night landscape paintings of riverside city,and expounds the influence of Zong Qixiang's night landscape paintings of riverside city on my creation.The first chapter of this paper introduces Zong Qixiang's overview of life experience and creation process.His overview of life experience is summarized,and his creation process is systematically elaborated in the four periods of learning to draw in the early years,following his mentor,experiencing hardships and getting to know Guilin.The second chapter of this paper analyzes the three parts of Zong Qixiang's night landscape paintings of riverside city: theme innovation,mood creation,form change.Among them,the form of innovation from the composition,modeling,ink,color these four angles were elaborated in detail.The third chapter of this paper,corresponding to the three parts in the second chapter,analyzes the learning and practice process embodied in my works,that is,the enlightenment on the theme,the creation of artistic conception and the study on the form.Combined with my creation,through learning from Zong Qixiang's night landscape paintings of riverside city in art practice,this paper expounds the influence of Zong Qixiang's night landscape paintings of riverside city on my creation and my creative perception.Choosing Zong Qixiang's night landscape paintings of riverside city as the research topic is not only because of my personal interest,but also through the provincial view of the predecessors to promote the innovation of Chinese painting,so as to provide valuable artistic reference for myself and young painters who are interested in the innovation of Chinese painting.
