Vietnamese Orthography

Orthography is one of the important branches of Chinese philology,and it is the core of the study of the normative glyph.It includes the core of the study of the characters,such as the definition of the word specification,correction of the character,establish the standard of the character and so on.This is also the core of this paper.In this paper,Chinese characters of Vietnamese are the main object of study.The study is based on Vietnamese ancient books.This paper is divided into five chapters and here are the introductions of each chapter.The first chapter is a brief introduction that introduces research summary,research theories and methods,purpose and significance of the research.This chapter also involves some questions that need to be illustrated.The second chapter of the Vietnamese ancient books,introduced the content of the three “Documentation ”(namely:“Zi Xue Qiu Jing Ge ” “Zi Xue Xun Meng ” “Zi Xue Si Yan Shi”)nature,the situation of the word collection,contained the orthographic thought and the inadequacies of the Vietnamese ancient books.The third chapter is about Chinese orthography and Vietnamese orthography.First,it is about the development of Chinese orthography and the classic of Chinese orthography.Then it is about the formation of Vietnamese orthography under the influence of Chinese orthography.In the third section,the author takes into account Vietnam's internal education,educational prospects and educators,as well as the influence of Chinese character education in Vietnam.The forth chapter is about vulgar Chinese characters in this three “Documentation ”.Comparison of Compilation Materials with vulgar Chinese characters proves that the folk characters in the three “Documentation ” belong to the inheritance of the vulgar Chinese characters.Comparing with the literature of imperial examination,it is proved that the influence of Vietnamese orthography is only limited to the educational level.The fifth chapter summarize the conclusion of this thesis,and put forward personal opinions on the movement of orthography and the establishment of standard of orthography in the future.
