The Study On The Change In Etiquette Associated With The Funeral In Zengzi Wen

"Changing rites" refers to the "rites" that are changed under special circumstances,and the "rites" refer to the rites under normal circumstances.Zengzi Wen in The Book of Rites records the discussion between Confucius and his disciples on changing rites in the pre-qin period.According to Yi Li,the pre-qin funeral system is divided into two parts: mourning dress regulations and funeral etiquette section.Among them,mourning clothing is divided into five levels,involving the pre-qin scholars and above.The rites of bereavement festival is different from the class involved in the mourning clothing.Because the rite only fully explains the funeral ceremony of the class,it cannot provide the exact funeral ceremony basis for the class above the class.Therefore,this paper focuses on the comprehensive record of taxi funeral,and discusses the change of funeral rites in Zengzi Wen.From the perspective of the changing of funeral rites in Zengzi Wen,the following five are the most representative: the cases of funeral rites in the crown,funeral rites in the evening,funeral rites in the army,funeral rites and funeral rites.Scholars in the past dynasties have been disputing about how to deal with the five kinds of funeral rites.In fact,the root cause of the controversy lies in the inconsistent understanding of scripture.Therefore,it is necessary to distinguish between classics and righteousness before expressing opinions.In order to distinguish the meaning of scripture,it is necessary to combine the context of scripture and refer to the documents of pre-qin dynasty.Therefore,this paper,on the basis of grasping the meaning of the classics and taking the ritual system in The Book of Rites as the benchmark,analyzes the five kinds of ritual changes one by one,and makes a judgment on each viewpoint,so as to find out the basis and principle of dealing with the ritual changes,and investigate whether they balance the contradiction of sentiment and ritual under special circumstances.In the process of discussion,the deep meaning of the internal ritual system can be demonstrated,which is enough to reveal the connotation of the changing ritual,which is of great significance to our understanding of the special circumstances of the ceremony and funeral etiquette,and can also provide some reference for the application of the realistic ritual system.
