At present, drug crimes continue to show a spreading trend in our country, and foreign drug-related cases are increasing in inland provinces. As a law enforcement troop, the Frontier Forces of Public Security are in the forefront of the anti drug combats, investigating and solving a large number of cases of drug crime. However,as a matter of fact, some drug crime cases investigated by the all levels of the Frontier Inspection Agencies in our country have troubles on concluding the cases timely. Some cases are returned to supplement investigation for the flawed evidence or refused to prosecute for the doubtful evidence by the prosecution authorities. Thus, the Frontier Inspection Stations on the national open ports, such as Changsha,Zhangjiajie Frontier Inspection Stations, are facing the anti-drug situation more and more seriously. The team quality and law enforcement standardization of the Frontier Inspection Authorities are far unable to meet the current situation.“3·29” drug case is a typical case of those drug cases that are investigated by Changsha Frontier Inspection Station. This paper summarizes and analyzes the focus of controversy in this case, such as criminal suspect's subjective knowing about the fact of smuggling drug, identifying the chief criminal in this case, utilizing the evidence of this case.It gives some advice and suggestions on the universal difficulties and problems of the evidence utilization on which the Frontier Inspection Authorities currently deal with drug smuggling crimes, which provides further research and discussion.
