The relationships of Mexico and China are long and complex.This work emphasizes on the diplomatic,economic and academic focuses of the bilateral relationship.The dissertation is divided in two main chapters:from 2003 to 2012 and from 2012 to 2016.In the first period,the interactions of the Mexican Presidents Vicente Fox Quesada and Felipe Calderon Hinojosa with their Chinese counterpart,Hu Jintao,are described.As for the second part,the relationships under the administrations of Enrique Pena Nieto and Xi Jinping are developed.To study the bilateral relationship,the two main chapters are studied under three main focuses:diplomatic relationships,economic and academic cooperation.Regarding diplomatic relations,the advances of the G-20 summits and the APEC meetings in the thirteen-year period are analyzed.Correspondingly,in the economic cooperation sections,various attempts of Chinese companies to enter the Mexican economy are studied,such as Huawei,First Automobile Works,Lenovo,China Railways,and China Offshore Oil Corporation.Similarly,to explain academic cooperation,data from Mexican official sources is discussed.
