Study On Deng Xiaoping's Thought Of Governing The Party And Its Values

The thought of governing the party strictly put forward by Comrade Deng Xiaoping is one of the essential components of the system of Deng Xiaoping theory.It has different characteristics at different times and works as a powerful ideological weapon to guide the Communist Party of China(CPC)to strengthen self-construction in the new historical period.To seriously study and deeply understand Comrade Deng Xiaoping ' s thought of "governing the party strictly" is conducive to providing ideological leadership and organizational guarantee for the ongoing reform and opening up as well as the successful implementation of modernization construction in China.It is also of great realistic and far-reaching significance for enhancing the construction of the party in the current stage,comprehensively deepening the promotion of governing the party strictly and strengthening the party's ruling status.The thought of “governing the party strictly” has been one of the excellently inherited traditions since the founding of the Communist Party of China.It can be a powerful guarantee for the Communist Party of China to maintain its advanced nature and purity,to enhance its rallying power and combat capability by unswervingly carrying out Deng Xiaoping's policy of “governing the party strictly ”.In the new historical period,by aiming at the new historical mission confronted by CPC and various serious problems existing within the party like corruption and negative activities,Deng Xiaoping has consistently called for strengthening the self-construction of the party and based on this,he has put forward the thought and guiding principle of that “the Party must exercise control over itself” and “the Party should be governed strictly ”.Therefore,it is greatly significant to study Deng Xiaoping's thought of “governing the party strictly” for the CPC to conduct party construction and fights against corruption in the current situation.The paper consists of five parts.Part I works as an introduction,mainly discusses the origin,train of thought,theoretical and practical significance,research methods and some background information of this study.Chapter I conducts a deeper analysis on the background of Deng Xiaoping's thought of “governing the party strictly ”.Since the reform and opening-up,the CPC has suspended the wrong thought line of “with the class struggle as the guidance” and abandoned the wrong thought of “two always” and finally put forward the two significant decisions,i.e.reform and opening-up and conducting activities around the center of economic development.During this process,several problems arose,such as shortage of Marxism belief among party members,ill condition of party construction as well as changeable international situations,which urged the CPC to enhance its self-construction.Chapter II gives an all-round introduction to the main contents of the thought,including enhancing the ideological and political education of party members,advancing the cadre management,work style construction,power supervision and so forth.Chapter III introduces generally the characteristics of Deng Xiaoping's thought of “governing the party strictly”.Chapter IV is the key part of the paper,mainly focusing on the practical significance and contemporary value of the thought in a much deeper way.
