The Research On The Revisionism Of Anthony Crosland

From the late World War ? to the mid-1950s,all aspects of British society have undergone great changes.The Labor Party,one of Britain's two main political parties,won the first election victory after the war,but it suffered a series of failures in the followed election of 1951 and 1955.The democratic socialist reform of Attlee Labor Party greatly changed the socio-economic outlook of poverty and weakness in post-war Britain.On the basis of the reform of the Labor Party,the Britain welcomed the new scientific and technological revolution and the whole social class structure changed.The Labor Party itself is a keen pragmatist party,Cole published "Fabian socialism" to elaborate its reform ideas which enlightened the right side of the Labor Party to change the traditional thinking during World War II.From the perspective of international environment,during the early 1950s when the Socialist International was established,its platform with the declaration of Frankfurt was in internal dispute.In the dual context of domestic and foreign,the British Labor Party theorist Anthony Crosland's revisionist thinking was timely out.Based on the changes of economic and social outlook in the post-war British,relyed on Keynesianism,Anthony Crosland questioned the inevitable "collapse" of capitalist society:the latest objective economic data instructed that the British capitalist disintegration process did not begin,and the political tendency of British economic management can overcome the inherent contradictions of capitalist society.Crosland criticized the traditional position of postwar British capitalist social character.He called the capitalist society before 1930 as "classical capitalism" and believed that changes in all aspects of postwar British society were either mitigated or changed the distinctive features of "Classic Capitalism" Society.Crosland argued that relative to the society's political system,the role of the production data ownership is much smaller.Based on the above theory,he revised the traditional perception of the relationship between the ownership of the means of production and the specific attributes of society and advocated a socialist model of mixed economy.Crosland argued that capitalism just presents a new form of society after the war,so the previous anti-capitalist doctrine must be corrected.He redefined the meaning and goal of British socialism and regrded socialism as a basic ideals and moral values from an ethical point of view,namely social equality and social welfare.Anthony Crosland's revisionism was in line with the prevailing conditions of the Britian and the Western Social Democratic Party.However,the essence of its revisionism is a reformism to meet the state monopoly capitalism,which can not fundamentally reform of capitalism.Also,the third road which is based on its thought is also untenable in practice.Crosland's democratic socialism is fake socialism,and it has the essential difference from socialism with Chinese characteristics.
