Crosland And The British Labour Party Ideology Transformation

Anthony Crosland is the famous political ideologist of Labor Party in English. His political ideology is mainly source of the contemporary social democracy. His studies about social transition of capitalism and arguments on value aim of socialism, especially the famous revisionist formula about socialism that he designed, which is"socialism= Keynesianism+ welfare state+ equality+ the mixed economy", still have life-force today. And his political ideology also is significant inspirational source for several ideological transitions of Labor Party. Form the later period of 1990s on it became the prevalence for people to study on Crosland in academy with the republishing of"the future of socialism". There is still no special topic investigation on Crosland'political ideology today because the linguistic difference and interfere of ideology. So it is necessary and imperious to comb his political ideology.According to logistic structure by which Crosland expounded his political ideology and comparing Crosland's social ideology with the theoretic transition of Labor, author try to find the basic reasons caused the relation between them by using analytical means of historical materialism.
