The Sahel region,is one of the wealthiest area in the African continent related to natural resources that are abounding whatever they are mineral or energetic,but it is also the poorest and the most under developed one as well,since almost no apparent development projects can be witnessed.This paradoxical situation lets the region open and exposed to various threats on both aspects,Soft and Hard ones.In terms of geostrategy,the Sahel region constitutes the backyard of Algeria,and it was necessary for it to adopt a foreign policy that takes into account its membership to this region.By implementing appropriate arrangements in order to manage this region according to its own interests and those of its partner countries.Due to the importance of the security dimension in the governing of states,that claim-no development without security-Algeria has undertook with its neighbor countries and its international partners real development actions to root out instability causes according to various frameworks and mechanisms aiming to fulfillment of an integrated security environment.
