A Study Of Leon Trotsky's Military Idea And Practice From 1918-1923

The first World War intensified the internal contradictions in Russia.In 1917,Russia broke out the February Revolution and the October Revolution one after another.After the October Revolution,the Bolshevik Party took power,and the new regime after it came to power was confronted with many problems.In November1918-October 1922,the Soviets fought civil war with the opposition.Trotsky was appointed to the rank of member of the military people's Committee and Chairman of the Revolutionary military Commission during this period,and formed the Red Army during the war.In the four years of civil war,Trotsky overcame the leadership differences within the Bolsheviks,the disunity of command,the shortage of logistics supplies,and so on.The Soviet regime won the civil war and consolidated its rule.Trotsky's military strategy and ideas helped the Soviets win the civil war.In addition,Trotsky trained a large number of military personnel during the Civil War,who served as commanders in World War II and made great contributions to the victory of the Anti-Fascist War.After the end of the Civil War,Trotsky proposed to build the Soviet Air Force to lay a solid foundation for Soviet military modernization.
