After India's independence,the main dilemma of its judicial activities was the low efficiency of the justice.In particularly,the large backlog of cases in India's basic-level courts.Under the influence of the US plea bargaining system,India introduced the plea bargaining system by the Criminal Laws(Amendment)Act in 2005.This model is based on the United States plea bargaining system and incorporates the actual situation in India to limit the application of the plea bargaining system.This article analyzes the background and process of India's introduction of the plea bargaining system,and elaborates the main content of India's plea bargaining system from the aspects of the transaction mode and the role of judges.Through the initial exploration of India's plea bargaining system,from the positive and negative aspects of the basic evaluation.Then,when introducing plea bargaining system in our country,a preliminary discussion was made on the scope of application of the transaction,the rights protection of the defendant and the victim.
