Post-nationalism is a conception proposed by German political philosopher Jurgen Habermas for national states to cope with the globalization crisis. However, this conception has not been widely recognized by the academic world. Most scholars deny the coming of Post-national era.Well, the emergence and expansion of the European Community proves that Post-nationalism is not just a political conception. In this context, ethnic and ethnic issues within national states have also undergone new changes. The frontiers of China, characterized by the concentration of ethnic minorities, have all changed in terms of their connotation, status, and significance. The frontier issues are no longer based on ethnic issues but show diversity and regionalization. The traditional ethnic thinking cannot cope with the current frontier issues. This article advocates replacing the "frontier development"concept with the "regional development" concept in order to provide new ideas for promoting Chinese frontier development.
