In recent years,with the rising of the South China Sea issue,the freedom of navigation in the South China Sea has become the focus of contradiction and conflict between China and the United States.In the complex situation of the South China Sea,the issue of freedom of navigation is concerned most and stressed repeatedly by the United States.What's more,the United States has claimed that it has "National Interests" in maintaining freedom of navigation in the South China Sea.Under the pretext of upholding freedom of navigation in the South China Sea,the United States has embarked on comprehensive and multi-field operations there.The United States has not only conducted military missions and reconnaissance activities in the South China Sea,but also carried out joint patrols with Allies to challenge China's sovereignty rights.In addition,the United States uses international law as its cloak for "Freedom of Navigation Operations" in the South China Sea,and uses media public opinion to render it,leading the discourse on freedom of navigation.The United States implements "Freedom of Navigation Operations"in the south China sea,is not only to maintain the South China Sea channel unblocked,its purposes is through unilateral action to force China to accept its marine claims and marine order,and maintain the economy interests,military interests and strategic interests of the United States in the south China sea,to achieve the intention of containing China and grasp the initiative in the Asia-Pacific region.The United States' behaviors have many negative effects on China's national image and national security.On the one hand,the United States stands on the commanding heights of International Law,to shape China as the destroyer of International Law and the stability of the South China Sea,which has worsened the image of China in the surrounding areas and the entire international community,caused many negative effects on China's external relations.On the other hand,frequent "Freedom of Navigation Operations" and the relevant military activities in the South China Sea may cause serious threats and challenges to China's sovereignty economic development and military security,which is not conducive to the peace,cooperation and friendship of the South China Sea.China needs to take the initiative to prepare for a possible normal military cruise by the United States.China should not only increase its military strength to ensure security and peace of South China Sea,but also build dialogue channels to strengthen communication with the United States and manage the possible maritime and air accidents effectively.At the same time,China should hold International Law conference actively to reach an international consensus on freedom of navigation and provide Marine public goods to reshape China's image,which is using concrete actions to safeguard freedom of navigation and the peace and stability of the South China Sea.The paper is mainly to comb the way of "Freedom of Navigation Operations" in the South China Sea,analysis the deep reason and the influence on China,and put forward feasible countermeasures according to the actual,which has great theoretical and practical significance to understand the "freedom of navigation" in the South China Sea and meet the United States' challenges.
