The Research On The Family Thoughts Of Engels

With the development of market economy,the pace of life begins to get faster and faster,so the time becomes the most valuable resource for everyone.Family,as the basic social unit,used to be the place where people likely to spend a lot of time and energy to help its operation,now it is no longer taken seriously by people like the past.Moreover,it gradually becomes the may or may not be needed thing.In fact,as the basic cell of society,the family can still play the role of promoting the harmonious development of people and society.Therefore,re-examining the role of family,understanding the concept of family,and building a better family are urgent problems.Since each solution needs to be guided by theory,the review of previous family theories and family studies is an indispensable step in the exploration of family problems.In the field of Marxism,Engels is the earliest person to conduct systematic and complete discussion of the family.Considering the family thoughts of Engels mainly embodied in the The Origin of the Family,Private Property and the State,it will be the main literature for my research.Based on historical materialism,this paper analyzes the family thoughts of Engels by means of literature research,logic and history,and comparison analysis system.The introduction part of the article introduces the background and significance of the topic,research status and the insufficiency,research methods and ideas as well as the innovations and shortcomings of the article.The text includes three parts: the first part mainly examines formation of the family thoughts of Engels.Firstly,the origin of Engels' family thoughts is introduced,includes anthropologists,led by Morgan,family history and family ethic from German classical philosophers,and he also used parts of Marx's family research for reference.Secondly,the inheritance and criticism of Engels' s thoughts on the family,which is mainly to clarify the family form development stage and to explain the family ethics are discussed.In the second part,the main contents of thoughts of family from Engels is systematic arranged.On the one hand,it indicates that family as a social cell as well as the central contact connects the individual and the external world,not only crucial for personal development but plays an important role in social stability,besides it is also a key area for manufacturing and reproduction of gender relations.On the other hand,though family existed for many years,its form has changed a lot with the social development.Therefore we can image that there will be more harmony family of sexual equality when the communist society is coming.The third part is the most important part of the article.Objective evaluation of family thoughts of Engels is given,includes the contribution to the historical materialism,family history research as well as to the development of the feminist theory.Except for that,combining with the existing problems in the construction of contemporary Chinese families such as neglect the family and take the false spouse-selection view,the function of Engels family thoughts as guiding ideology to solutions is discussed.In general,the fundamental value of studying the family thoughts of Engels is the practicality.Theory of Marxism is the mainstream ideology construction and modernization of the fundamental guiding ideology,and Engels' thought is the important part of it.So we should pay more attention to it and explore its ideological value,then try our best to develop its practical value,make it helps to provide mental and intellectual support to achieve the harmony of family and stability of society.
