A Study Of Thailand's Cognition And Strategy On "the Belt And Road Initiative"

The relationships between China and the Kingdom of Thailand have a long history and they have had a history of friendly relationship since the Han Dynasty.The opening of the maritime Silk Road has further strengthened their relations.After the China and Thailand have built the official diplomatic relationship on July 1,1975,the relations between China and Thailand have made progress and development.In May 2007,China and Thailand officially signed the "Joint Action Plan for Strategic Cooperation between China and Thailand",laying foundation of establishing a strategic partnership for China and Thailand.In April 2012,Ying La visited China and a comprehensive strategic partnership has been formally built between China and Thailand.In October 2013,Premier Li Keqiang visited Thailand and jointly signed “the Vision Plan for the Development of China-Thai Relations”,which pointed out the direction the relationships between China and Thailand.After the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward,Thailand take a positive attitude toward the initiative and realized the strategic interface between Thailand and China,enhancing the connotation of Thai-China cooperation and promoting the development of China-Thai relations,and creating a Good conditions,which will exert a demonstration effect on the building of the China-ASEAN fate community.The article is divided into six parts: The introduction mainly discuss the reason of the topic,the significance of the research,the research situation at home and abroad,the research methods and the related concepts.The first chapter mainly discusses a brief history of the Maritime Silk Road development.It analyzes Thailand's participation in the maritime Silk Road and its influence,and analyzes the role of Thailand in the maritime Silk Road in the 21 st century through the methods historical and geopolitical.The second chapter discusses the attitude of Thailand to Belt and Road Initiative and the recognition of Thailand to Belt and Road Initiative.The questionnaires were used to analyze the Thai youth's recognition of the Belt and Road Initiative.The third chapter summarizes the factors influencing the strategic choice of Thailand under the Belt and Road Initiative and the strategy implemented in Thailand,The chapter fourth discusses the situation of strategic-joint between Thailand and China;and critique the strategy it implemented of Thai government under the Belt and Road Initiative.The epilogue discusses the main conclusions of the article and focuses on the factors that influence the future development of the relation between China and Thailand.The article believes that since the Han Dynasty,Thailand is not only an important road for the Maritime Silk Road,but also an important participant and contributor to the Maritime Silk Road.In the Belt and Road initiative,Thailand,which has a prominent geographic advantage,has a “strategic support point” role.Overall,Thailand has a positive attitude towards the Belt and Road initiative and participates in the interests of the construction.The construction of infrastructure and the smooth flow of trade are the main contents and directions of Thailand?s participation in the Belt and Road Initiative.Under the Belt and Road initiative,China and Thailand have established a destiny community of cooperation and mutual benefit as an inevitable reality.
