On The Miao People's Housing Changes In The Yangwu Town,Danzhai County,Guizhou Province

China is a multi-ethnic country,and the traditional culture of 56 ethnic groups which has involved in Chinese traditional culture,including Han,Manchu,Tibetan,Zang,Mongolian,Hui,Yi,Zhuang and Miao culture.And all above these different cultures have embrace and constitute the Chinese traditional culture diversity.The Miao population in Guizhou province ranks the top.Compared with the rest of the world they also have their own clothing,cooking,handicraft,song and dance and architectural culture.With the progress of the times,those traditional culture had injected different eras features by the times changes.Compared with many Miao cultural research,there is a slight emphasis on this paper which focus on the architectural culture to discuss the Miao people's housing changes.However,the housing culture is a huge system,so this thesis is just use the sample with the Miao people's housing changes in the Yangwu Town,Danzhai County,Guizhou Province.And with this point of view to investigate the transformation on the local Miao culture,the development of economic and kinship,also to show the evolution of Miao culture from abstract into concrete.While using this” small place” as a starting to show the interactive relationship between housing reconstruction and personal appeal in the process of relocation of ecological migrants.My goal is to present this key point to search a series of issues of cultural change by housing problems.With a small range of in-depth study to make some certain supplements for the current ethnic group areas of economic development and social changes.This thesis is mainly composed of four chapters.In chapter one,I firstly give an overview of the Yangwu town's geographical and social environment.Chapter two is based on the field research data,and to make a whole discussion on the traditional dwellings of that place.The main line of each section is centered around the appearance and structure of different dwellings in the three stages.Besides,there will be a discussion of Miao cultures,family conceptions and social structures.And chapter three is an short introduction about the modern Miao people's residences.This chapter is mainly from the appearance and material using of the modern Miao people's residences in contrast with the traditional Miao people's dwellings.Chapter four is all about consideration in transformation.The perspective of glocalization,cultural change and social conflict are the main three idea to explain the change and influence by the transformation of residences in the local society.And also discuss the influence of the local migration policy on traditional culture.The last on is a conclusion to this thesis.This thesis is connecting the world,society,government and people with housing,the interaction between housing change and cultural change are discussed.
