The phenomenon that the personal information of internet insurance consumers is violated is increasing day by day,and the safety of insurance consumers' personal information is faced with great threats,which cannot be modified because of the deficiency of the relevant legal system.As a result,it has important theoretical significance and applicable value to study the legal protection of the internet insurance consumers' personal information.By the research techniques of literature,normative,and comparative analysis,based on the analysis of connotation and extension of internet insurance consumers' personal information,aiming at the insufficiency of protection in our country,and consulting other countries and areas' protected mode,our country's protection system can be set up to protect the personal information of internet insurance consumers.Internet insurance consumers' personal information refers to the information that takes electronic data as the bearing mode,applicants provide to insurance agency when purchasing insurance products or accepting insurance service through internet platform,and the information is grasped by information manager.Meanwhile,related to a specific internet insurance consumer,the information can reflect the insurance consumer's features such as individual status and distinguish that internet insurance consumer by itself or combining with other information.According to different standards,this information can be divided into different categories.The core feature is the power of discrimination.In regard to the law attribution,internet insurance consumers' personal information has the connotation of both personality and property.In practice,because of internal resistances and external risks of insurance industry,infringement of internet insurance consumers' personal information has happened constantly.However,faultiness of private law and supervisory system leads it difficult to relive the internet insurance consumer.The Untied States,the European Union,Germany,and Japan have relatively mature practices and experience in the protection of personal information.We can use these countries' experience as reference and combine it with our own physical truth to form a system which is suitable for us.First of all,we should establish the right of personal information as an independent right,which is a kind of specific personality right with property nature.Then,based on this,steps can be taken,such as perfecting the system of private law and supervisory system,as well as strengthening self-discipline mechanism in internet insurance to protect internet insurance consumers' right of personal information from many aspects.
