Research Of Economic Influence Of EB-5 Investment To The USA

With rapid economic development and appearance of the large amount of high-net-worth individuals in China,number of EB-5 investment immigrants from mainland China has increased substantially.The government of the America and Investment In the USA both have attached great importance to EB-5 program,while on the other side,no matter Chinese government or EB-5 industry in China is managing EB-5 businesses as a type of regular immigration business,and there is rarely any analysis about general influence or affect of the type of immigration from China's perceptive in theoretical circle.The writer took EB-5 program—investment immigration as research subject,and focused on investment from mainland China.In this thesis,the writer analyzed economic contribution of EB-5 program to the America,and innovatively used double gap theory to study contribution of foreign direct investment to economic development of developed country.The thesis took EB-5 data disclosed by the government and Investment In the USA as study sample,figured out the amount of EB-5 investment from mainland China,and worked out contribution rate of foreign direct investment and EB-5 investment to GDP of the USA with Neo-Classical growth model;and studied effects of the investment in such aspects as capital accumulation,technology spillovers,job creation and improvement of balance of international payment.According to the data,EB-5 investment from mainland China accounted a higher and higher ratio in China's foreign direct investment to the USA.The thesis conducted regression analysis of EB-5 investment from mainland China and China's foreign direct investment to the USA,which showed importance of EB-5 investment from mainland China in China's foreign direct investment to the USA,and both the two reflected China's economic development trend.This thesis expanded growth equation of Neo-Classical growth model,introduced EB-5 investment and foreign direct investment into the model as independent input factors,and verified the relationship between EB-5 investment and economic growth by estimation.As a part of foreign direct investment,EB-5 investment could exert normal effects to promote economic development as other foreign direct investment,as an important return of EB-5 investment of green card and requirement about job creation of this type of investment,EB-5 investment's usage cost is lower,and its promotion to economic development is stronger.Contribution of EB-5 investment to economic development is higher than normal foreign direct investment of equal amount.
