Study On Special Protection Of The Victims Of Sexual Crimes In Criminal Procedure

With the call for human rights protection,More and more scholars and judicial officials pay great attention to the protection of the rights of criminal suspects and defendants,However,the protection of victims 'rights has not been given the attention it deserves.As a special group of victims,victims of sexual crimes have multiple injuries compared with victims of ordinary crimes,and victims of sexual crimes may be twice killed after the case has occurred because of family,social prejudice and discrimination,improper reporting by online media,and judicial activities.At present,there are some problems such as the lack of special legislation on the protection of victims of sexual crimes in China,the difficulty of conviction in cases of sexual assault,the lack of protection of victims 'right to privacy and reputation,the difficulty of obtaining compensation for victims and the difficulty of making up for mental losses.In this regard,the author believes that the construction of a special protection system for victims of sexual crimes in criminal proceedings in China should focus on improving the protection of privacy,establishing the right to seek compensation for moral damage of victims of sexual crimes,and regulating the investigation and evidence collection of victims of sexual crimes.To establish the rules of character evidence in accordance with the judicial status of our country,allow victims of sexual crimes to testify in court in a special way,and establish a mechanism to promote the psychological rehabilitation of victims of sexual crimes,so as to help them return to society and life as soon as possible.
