| With the development of the world economy,transnational corporations play an increasingly important role in human society.On the other hand,transnational corporations are increasingly criticized for their business practices in the host countries such as the destruction of the environment,sweatshops and commercial bribery,which have hindered the long-term development of transnational corporations in the host countries as well as have negative impacts on the host country’s market,development and even the political security of the country,while at the same time discrediting the public image of the home country.In this regard,the theory of Corporate Social Responsibility originated from European and American countries theoretically provides the theoretical basis for international organizations,the public,the host country and the home government to regular the transnational corporations in protecting environment,labor rights and prohibiting commercial bribery.In the past,there were many practices in which international organizations,the public,and the host country try to regulate transnational corporations,but the effect is not satisfactory.On this basis,the author tries to explore the possibility and path selection of regulating the overseas business behavior of transnational corporations from the perspective of the home country.This article will firstly summarize and analyze the many social problems brought by transnational corporations in the host country and the international trend of regulating transnational corporations and systematically introduce the theoretical basis of the overseas business activities of multinational corporations,namely the theory of Corporate Social Responsibility.Next,the author focuses on the theoretical basis and motivations of the home country to regulate transnational corporations and the main problems it faces.After this,the author analyzes the regulations before,during,and after the matters used by home countries to regulate the overseas business activities of the transnational corporations,and then analyzes the current characteristics,causes,and future path choices in this field.Finally,on the basis of analyzing the status quo of China’s regulation of overseas business activities of transnational corporations,the author provides suggestions for the improvement of China’s future regulations. |
