The Construction Of American Ideological Leadership Since The Second World War And Its Inspiration To China

Ideology as a key factor in maintaining the stability of a country is the source of spiritual power for the ruling party to hold power and consolidate its ruling position.And therefore,the ruling class always takes advantage of its political power by using various channels and means to publicize and instill the ideas of the class in order to set the fixed social pattern of thinking and the ideal code of conduct.And in this way can the mainstream ideology indeed occupy a dominant position,which is conducive to gaining the leadership,the dominance as well as the right of speech for the ruling class.The twenty-first century has ushered in a new wave of globalization,thus accelerating the process of world cultural exchanges.Against the backdrop of globalization,the interdependent relations have been strengthened between China and the United State.However,the Sino-US relation has always been unstable which can be accounted for by a number of factors and ideology still remains one of the most important factors.The United States will never give up the plot of Peaceful Evolution against China,especially as China's overall national strength has been greatly enhanced nowadays.And it's likely that the United States will regard China as its formidable adversary in the field of ideology,thus accelerating the process of Westernization and differentiation of China.And therefore,a systematic analysis of the construction of American ideological leadership after World War ? and the implementation of American ideology hegemonism not only bears dual significance for China in terms of the construction of ideological leadership but also enables China to know itself and its enemy so as to better cope with the plot of Peaceful Evolution of the United States in the meantime.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part mainly elaborates on the background,the significance and the current status of the research.Besides,the research method,the difficult points as well as the innovation parts of the thesis are also dealt with.The second part systematically expounds on the theoretical foundation of the ideological leadership by exploring the concepts of ideology,ideological leadership in addition to the components,characteristics as well as functions of ideological leadership respectively,laying the theoretical foundation for the paper.The third part as the core of this paper mainly discusses the evolution of the mainstream ideology in the United States after World War ?,the path of localization of American ideological leadership and the external expansion of American ideological leadership as well as its tactics in the view of the layout of the world.The fourth part primarily deals with the dual warnings of the construction of American ideological leadership to China.From the perspective of the United States,the success of construction of its ideological leadership has brought a lot of inspiration to China but from the international point of view,the mode of ideological hegemony can never be adopted.On the contrary China should take an active attitude towards the expansion of its cultural hegemonism by maintaining the security and by extending the international influence of Chinese culture so that the Chinese civilization can always keep its eminent status among other civilizations in the world.
