Using a geo coded ethnic level slave extraction data and a base level attitudinal data on tax avoidance in Africa,this paper depicts how differences in tax attitudes across ethnicities are related to the Slave Trade of Africa.This paper discloses an analysis on how persistent centuries of cruel slave ruler ship eroded the view of individual tax perception in Africa.This paper presents strong evidence that slave extraction is positively related to tax avoidance attitudes,even after controlling for major comparison determinants that lead to changes in tax attitude.Analyses in this paper depicts that(?)Individuals located in highly raided ethnicities have a higher negative perception of tax than those located in areas that were raided the less(?)Political disbelief is a likely historic network for this relationship.
