| As the Trump administration’s foreign strategy becomes clearer,America’s Indo-Pacific strategy has made a significant progress in its growth,and the security cooperation situation between the United States and India has also shown a growing trend.The continuous strengthening of bilateral and multilateral security cooperation between the United States and India has caused an important impact and threat to China’s peripheral security and the regional security order.A systematic study of the development trend of U.S.-India security cooperation under the US Indo-Pacific strategy and its geostrategic impact are conducive to China’s rational and comprehensive clarification of the current and future surrounding security environment situation,to promote the implementation of China’s development strategy,and to safeguard China’s national interests.The development of the America‘s Indo-Pacific Strategy has gone through the two periods of the Obama administration and the current Trump administration,in the process,the strategic appeal of the United States and India has been linked together through the India-India strategy,and the security cooperation between the United States and India has shown a continuous strengthening of the development trend.This paper holds that the analysis of the respective strategic demands of the United States and India from the theoretical perspective of balance theory and soft balance of power system is helpful to deeply understand the strategic differences and conflict points between China and the United States and India,and to provide useful thinking for China’s countermeasures.Under the India-Pacific strategy,the US-India security cooperation has made significant progress,showing distinct characteristics,especially the cooperation in key areas.Through the historical research method and the literature research method,this paper has combed the history of the development of India-US security relations,and also analyzed the cooperation mechanism and form,the characteristics of China,the high-level interaction,the joint military exercises,and the scale of the military trade.The situation of cooperation between the United States and India in the fields of arms sales,strengthening regional military presence,deepening military technology exchanges,network security cooperation and Regional Anti-Terrorism makes the two countries play an important role in the Indian-Pacific region and even in the world.The geostrategic impact of strengthening security cooperation between the United States and India will profoundly impress the security and order of the Pacific region.The geostrategic impact of enhanced security cooperation between the United States and India will profoundly affect India’s security and order.The imbalance in regional attention caused by the increasing dependence and reliance of the United States on India will lead to major changes in the strategic situation in South Asia,and it will deepen the strategic skepticism and suspicion among the regional powers,aggravate the arms race among the countries of the Indo-Pacific region,and expand the risk of regional security order construction.It will make the geopolitical structure of the Indo-Pacific region,which has been deeply influenced by the relations between major powers in history,more complicated.China should choose four countermeasures for U.S.-India security cooperation.First,rationally treat the strategic competitive relationship between China and the United States;second,consolidate the basis of Sino-Indian cooperation;thirdly,promote regional friendly cooperation;and fourth,promote the construction of a "maritime power" strategy.Balancing and optimizing the driving effect of internal and external causes can make China’s leisurely response to the strategic deterrence and adverse effects of U.S.-India security cooperation.Balancing and optimizing the driving effect of internal and external causes can make China’s leisurely response to the strategic deterrence and adverse effects of U.S.-India security cooperation. |
