In the current international political landscape, water resources are a relatively prominent strategic resource, which is closely related to national development.Due to international river water resources, disputes between international river sharing countries are increasing.Among them, the shortage of domestic water demand in the basin countries, the unreasonable development and distribution of international rivers, the serious water pollution and the increased awareness of the country's territorial sovereignty are the causes of international river water disputes. The water dispute has caused a big or small impact on the politics of the river-sharing countries, the economies of the countries in the basin, and the harmony and stability of the international community. However,in the international river water development model where disputes and cooperation coexist, the international river water resources cooperation can enhance the economic benefits between the river sharing countries, strengthen the political mutual trust between the river sharing countries, optimization the international river ecological environment. With the rapid development of the economy,China and India are two rising Asian countries, the demand for water resources in both countries is also growing. The water resources of the Yarlung Zangbo-Brahmaputra River between the two countries are limited,China and India are struggling on how to develop and use and allocate their water resources.Under the influence of the unresolved issues of the Sino-Indian territorial issue and how water resources are developed, utilized and distributed, the “China's water conservancy threat theory” in India's hype is rampant. This involves the distribution of water interests, territorial issues and political mutual trust between China and India, the water resources development of the Yarlung Zangbo-Brahmaputra River has become the focus of the country. The intervention of the extraterritorial powers of the extraterritorial countries has contributed to the emergence of the Yarlung Zangbo-Brahmaputra water problem between China and India, the Sino-Indian Yarlung Zangbo-Brahmaputra water dispute has become a reality. The Sino-Indian Yarlung Zangbo-Brahmaputra water dispute has intensified the political mutual trust deficit between the two countries, deepened the complexity of territorial disputes, hindered economic development between the two sides, and increased bilateral trade friction. However,in recent years, based on the background of the transition from cold to warm in Sino-Indian relations,we need to look at this issue objectively and dialectically. The water problem between the Yarlung Zangbo River and the Brahmaputra River in China and India has added new challenges and new opportunities for the development of bilateral relations. Therefore,if China and India want to resolve the dispute of the Yarlung Zangbo-Brahmaputra River, they need to start from the perspective of quelling water disputes, need to be based on the joint actions and in-depth cooperation between the two countries, need to take into account the interests of both countries,so as to strengthen political mutual trust and strategic mutual trust between the two countries, expand exchanges and interaction between the two countries in the field of water resources and actively carry out water cooperation to jointly deal with the interference of foreign forces.
