Research On Chinese Communist Party’s Exploration Of "Test Truth" In The Early Long March

In October 2016,Xi Jinping clearly stated in his speech at the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Long March:"The Long March is a great expedition to test the truth,"revealing that the Long March was of great significance to the Chinese Communist Party in thinking about how to test the truth.In 1934,after the failure of the fifth anti-encirclement campaign in the revolutionary base area of the Central Soviet Area,the Chinese Communist Party and the Red Army were forced to conduct a strategic shift under the grave crisis of life and death.Then,what is the underlying reason why the Party and the Red Army were forced to make strategic changes because there were serious differences in the understanding of the"truth"and"test of truth"in the Party at that time,which led to the serious setback in the military practice of the party and the Red Army.Therefore,in the process of military transfer in the early period of the Long March,it is also of utmost importance for the Chinese Communist Party to solve the problem of the"truth test."Based on the Marxist epistemology and the specific historical facts of the Long March,this essay focuses on the process of"truth test",that is,why the Red Army should test the truth in the long march military practice,how to test the truth and how the test is valid,and finally realize we must insist on integrating Marxist truth with the concrete reality of the Chinese revolution and test the truth with practical standards.Through the research on the"test truth"of the Communist Party of China in the early days of the Long March,we can provide necessary experience and lessons for the"New Long March"of today’s socialist cause with Chinese characteristics.
