Social Work Involved In Rural Community Home Care Services Research

With the deepening of China's aging,the problem of old-age care for the elderly has attracted more and more attention.In rural areas of China,traditional family-age care is still the mainstay.However,with the development of urban youth and rural “vacuum”,the family pension model can no longer meet the higher level of old-age needs of the elderly.The rural home care model can not only enable the elderly to live in a familiar community,but also give the elderly more community support and improve the elderly's sense of well-being.Therefore,the model of home-based care is gradually welcomed and developed in rural areas.This study used the case analysis method in the qualitative research method to select B village in Beijing as a research case.The data collection method uses in-depth interviews,questionnaire surveys,and observation methods to understand the basic situation of elderly people in village B through in-depth interviews with elderly people living in homes in village B,including family types,family relationships,daily life conditions,and Internet access.Neighborhood relationships,volunteering,economic status,community involvement and hobbies.According to the collected information,the elderly people's needs for home care are evaluated.It is found that the elderly have the needs of life care,medical health,community participation,social interaction and spiritual comfort for the home care service.According to the needs of the elderly,the author has carried out food service,health guidance and medical assistance services,cultural and entertainment services,and spiritual comfort services.The service has improved the enthusiasm of the elderly to participate in community activities,broadened the social scope of the elderly,eased the loneliness and loneliness of the elderly,and enhanced the cohesiveness of the village.However,there are also some problems in the activities,mainly in the following: some elderly people are less motivated to participate in activities,fewer resources are available to rural communities,and services are not fully satisfied by the needs of the elderly.Based on the above problems,the paper puts forward practical suggestions: link resources to meet the needs of rural elderly for economic support,rich services for rural elderly care,social workers should clearly define their role.I hope to improve the home care service of the B village community.
