With the slowdown of China's economic growth and the transformation of economic structure,the competition between enterprises is intensifying.How to improve the competitiveness has become the most important goal of enterprises.In the competition,the weaker enterprises are often at a disadvantage.In order to change the disadvantage,through practice,they can often protect and strengthen themselves by "bridging" with the government.More and more companies are aware of the importance of political relations for their survival and development,and establish political connections through various methods and channels.Research shows that there are political connections all over the world,and political connections have become a global phenomenon.However,the academic conclusions about the impact of political connections on the development of enterprises are not uniform,or even contradictory.Since 2012,the term "big data" has often appeared in people's lives.People use it to represent a large amount of data brought about by the information age.The advent of the Big Data Age was originally proposed by McKinsey,a world-renowned consulting firm.Indeed,big data plays different roles in different areas,such as manufacturing.Use large industrial data to improve manufacturing level,including product fault diagnosis and prediction,process analysis and improvement of production process.Optimizing production process energy consumption,Industrial Supply Chain Analysis and optimization,production planning and scheduling;in the financial industry,big data plays an important role in high-frequency trading,social sentiment analysis and credit risk analysis in three major areas of financial innovation;in the Internet industry,with the help of big data technology,customer behavior,product recommendation and targeted advertising can be analyzed.But the value of big data goes far beyond that.It is also a trend to apply big data to the study of political relations.This paper makes use of big data technology,aiming at the disadvantages of traditional political correlation indicators,builds up a new type of political correlationnetwork with huge amount of data,and studies the short-term and long-term performance of enterprises with new indicators.Finally,the conclusion is drawn that political association can bring great benefits to enterprises in the short term and promote the growth of corporate performance;But in the long run,political affiliation will curb corporate development and even bring destruction to companies.
