With the advent of the era of "Internet + and big data",the reform and innovation of information technology has promoted the rise of new payment methods. The emergence of third-party payment methods has solved the problem of information asymmetry in traditional payment methods. With its advantages of convenience,time-saving and reliability,it has occupied an increasing market share and changed the current pattern of payment methods. The innovation of payment mode has led to the rise of a new payment platform. As the undertaking platform of the third-party payment mode, the third-party payment platform plays an important role in the healthy development of the payment market. To a certain extent, the third-party payment platform ensures the security of the payment process. With the prosperity of the third-party payment market, the number of third-party payment platforms is increasing. The development scale of third-party payment platforms is uneven, which indirectly causes a series of risk problems, such as deposit capital risk, user information security, trust mechanism and inadequate supervision.A series of problems not only affect the development of payment market, threaten the legitimate interests of users, but also may lead to vicious competition and market chaos, thus hindering economic development. The third-party payment market is weak in self-regulation and the effect of solving the problem is not obvious,so the government's supervision is of great significance.Through the analysis of the current situation of government supervision of third-party payment platforms in China, this paper draws the conclusion that there are some problems in government supervision, such as unclear subject and object of supervision, imperfect relevant laws, backward supervision technology and insufficient protection of consumers' rights and interests. The main reasons are unclear positioning of third-party payment platform, low level of government supervision, lack of regulatory standards, lack of financial support and lack of consumer protection awareness.Combining with the successful experience of foreign countries, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are given. Our government should clarify the legal status of the object of supervision and build a sound regulatory system;rely on information technology to achieve regulatory innovation;the most important thing is to pay attention to supervision and management,on the one hand,to regulate,on the other hand,to encourage;finally,to carry out the popularization of relevant knowledge,to protect the rights and interests of consumers. The purpose of this paper is to solve the problems in the process of government supervision and give the corresponding countermeasures,so that the government can more effectively supervise the third-party payment platform and ensure the long-term development of the third-party payment platform.
