Research On Witness Protection In Criminal Proceedings In China

Witness protection system is an important part of a national judicial system.In our country's legislation,the provisions on witness protection are not perfect.In judicial practice,the protection of witnesses is also very inadequate.This has led many witnesses to be worried when they testify.After being testified,they are threatened,intimidated and even retaliated by criminals.The immediate consequence is that witnesses are not willing to testify positively because their security is not guaranteed.Therefore,the existing criminal witness protection system needs to be improved.This paper starts with the basic value and content of China's criminal witness protection system,analyzes the insufficiency of China's criminal witness protection system,and explains the criminal witness protection system of major countries outside the country.On this basis,I put forward my own suggestions on how to improve China's criminal witness protection system.
