Hayek is a representative of the Western liberal school in the twentieth century. His critical thought of collectivism is an important part of Hayek's liberal theory.Hayek's criticism of collectivism has its unique historical background and theoretical foundation. Before and after the Second World War,Western socialist thought began to spread,Germany and the Soviet Union's authoritarianism prevailed, and the development of Western welfare institutions allowed Hayek to recognize the collective. In the violation of Western capitalist countries,Hayek criticized collectivism based on the theory of division of knowledge, bounded rationality, and spontaneous self-sufficiency.Hayek's critique of collectivism is mainly from the perspective of the infringement of collectivism on individualism and the infringement of collectivism on market economy against collectivism and social morality.Hayek believes that individualism is the foundation and first principle of liberalism. It recognizes the supremacy of individual rights and freedoms. No organization or institution has the right to interfere. He criticizes collectivism as the guise of "new freedom" and consciously organizes social resources.Implement centralized planning and compulsory management of members of society, infringing on individual freedoms and rights.Hayek believes that the market economy is the most efficient economic structure model of mankind to date.It respects people's economic freedom activities, emphasizes people's free demand, and maximizes the state of market competition. He criticizes collectivism based on the construction of rationalism.Plan the economy, ignore economic freedom and demand, eliminate market competition, and try to control and plan social and economic life.Hayek believes that morality is the result of human practice and a product of social and cultural evolution.Moral principles cannot be designed based on existing knowledge.Hayek criticizes the collectivist centralized rule of governance and enforces the unity of members of society.Thoughts, instilling in the masses the creed that cannot and cannot be considered, leads to the weakening of morality and knowledge.Although Hayek's academic research is extensive and extensive,Hayek's anti-collectivism is not perfect and unquestionable. The reason for Hayek's anti-collectivism lies in the confusion and misinterpretation of the concept of collectivism by Western liberalism, with the aim of standing for capitalism. Therefore, the criticism of Hayek's anti-collectivism will be expounded from Marx's view of rights and collective views, and Marx's critique of liberal anti-collective thinking.Hayek's anti-collectivism thoughts have both theoretical dilemmas and limitations in specific content.
