With the improvement of social medical and health level and quality of life and the deepening of population aging, the elderly population in China is in a trend of aging, empty nesting and disability.Older women receive less pension than men because of the cumulative disadvantages of women in childbirth, education, employment and retirement. At the same time,Older women have a higher life expectancy than men but have lower quality of life than men, which makes older women more dependent on the economy.Women who have entered the old age have become marginalized vulnerable groups in society. The problem of old-age care for older women is becoming more and more prominent.Especially the problem of old-age services for special elderly women such as senior citizens, empty nests and widowed widows cannot be ignored. In order to explore the problem of elderly women's aged care services, improving the quality of elderly women's aged care services, protecting their basic rights and interests, and promoting gender equality. From the perspective of gender, this paper investigates the needs of elderly women and men in Changsha to understand the current situation of the needs of elderly women and men. Then statistical analysis of the differences in the demand for aged care services between older men and women and between older women, and then refine the problems and analyze the causes,so as to propose countermeasures.Studies have shown that older men and women have a common need for mental care, daily care services and basic medical services. The difference is that older women have higher demand for daily care, medical care, and spiritual comfort than older men. Moreover, compared with older men, older women face a greater risk of providing for the aged. Its ability to pay for pensions is weak, which is not enough to cover the cost of hospitalization and nursing services, let alone the high medical costs. Some elderly women who have contributed to the country before the founding of thePeople's Republic of China or who worked in enterprises before retirement have relatively little demand for economic security, and there is a greater demand for professional nursing, learning and entertainment. In addition, due to the elderly women's unique need for emotional belonging to the family and the weakening of the current family pension function, the problem of care services for elderly women living alone deserves our attention.Overall, the dilemma of old-age care for older women is cumulative over time.Older women spend a lot of time and energy on family. However, the family labor that women pay is considered to be the family payable by women in China, and there is no economic reward.Older women will face greatly economic security risks when they are old.At the same time, the increase in the average life expectancy of older women does not reflect the extension of their quality of life. However, the elderly are sick.In addition, for older women with higher levels of financial security, their growing diversified pension services demand calls for higher quality aged care services. In order to meet the diversified aged care services of older women and improve the quality of old-age services,we should pay attention to the prevention and treatment of healthy diseases in older women, and provide elderly care services based on community homes. We should cultivate a team of specialized nursing talents with gender differences, and provide specialized elderly care services with gender differences, and promote gender mainstreaming and social security system reform.
