On Arendt's "The Life Of The Mind"

This article takes Arendt's late work "The Life of The Mind" as an independent resear ch object,trying to weave Arendt's many scattered thinking clues into the grand conceptio n of mind life.First of all,I explored the roots of Arendt's journey of "thinking".Arendt tu rned to "The Life of The Mind" research.On the one hand,because of his participation in Eichmann's trial,the fundamental view of evil changed.Extreme evil turned to mediocrity.On the other hand,Arendt tries to make up for the major flaws in active life and rethink th e relationship between real life and meditation.In "The Life of The Mind" part of Arendt's vision,she mainly distinguishes three abil ities of thinking,willing and judge.Arendt did not only begin to explore the issue of thinki ng in "The Life of The Mind".Therefore,in the part of "The Life of Mind-thinking”,I first described the thinking that appeared in Arendt's previous works.For the thinking of thinki ng,Arendt believes that thinking about seeking to understand and understand the things of the phenomenal world,the process of thinking is invisible,thinking does not explore the r esults but pay more attention to the pursuit of meaning.On the issue of the relationship bet ween thinking and evil,Arendt is immersed in the contradiction between Socratic thinking and Heidegger thinking,which makes him fall into the contradiction of self-disintegrationArendt began to resort to the willing to achieve self-coordination.In “The Life of the Mind-willing”,the first reason is to explore the reasons why philosoph ers are prejudiced against the will.First,because the will always appears as an accident,b ut because of the difficulty between the self-experience of thinking and the self-experience of the willing Conflict.The ancient Greek era's discussion of the willing is vacant,and the modern will is regarded as an independent research object.In the discovery of the willing,Paul's willing is incompetent,Ebike Ted's will and omnipotence and the philosopher Aug ustin's point of view.From the perspective of these philosophers,we can summarize the characteristics of the willingpower.The internal moments of the will are full of contradictio ns and conflicts.I am willing to fight against the two willings.The willing has a future-ori ented attribute,but at the same time the willing has a negative effect,which in turn denies the known facts.For the unfinished judge part,Arendt turned from the judge of the original Aristotle a ctor to the judge of Kant's bystander.The continuous thinking about the tension between p hilosophy and politics runs through the process of Arendt's life long thinking,and "The Li fe of The Mind",the two finally achieve a temporary reconciliation.The political significa nce of "The Life of The Mind" is to promote the reconstruction of the public sphere and to reconcile the tension between thinking and action.However,Arendt is eager to construct a philosophical system,and let the study of "The Life of The Mind" pass through the fog o f metaphysics.In his lack of unity,Arendt is in a dilemma.But the continuous thinking an d courageous reflection on these issues in "The Life of The Mind" has become the most im portant contribution of Arendt as a political theorist.
