Since capitalism entered the monopoly stage in the late 19 th century and early20 th century, the imperialist countries began to divide the colonies worldwide and oppress the colonial people. In order to respond to and solve this major historical and practical problem,Lenin's colonial theory came into being, which promoted the vigorous development of the anti-imperialist and decolonize movement worldwide.Lenin divides the nations of the world into oppressed and oppressed nations, opposes all forms of privileges of a nation or state, and advocates that all nations have the same right to establish a nation-state.Lenin believes that the pursuit of the right to self-determination of nations is consistent with the struggle of the proletariat against imperialism, against colonialism, and achieving national independence and liberation. However, the right to self-determination should conform to the principles of socialism and be in line with the interests of the proletariat.Lenin's colonial theory is closely linked with the theory of imperialism.Lenin believes that colonial expansion is an inevitable result of capitalist's entry into the monopoly period. The contradiction between supply and demand caused by the lack of effective demand has prompted the bourgeoisie to seek raw material and commodity markets and gain monopoly profits worldwide. The colonial activities during the imperialist period were usually combined with the military expansion of the country and aimed at the export of capital. The colonial people and the proletariat of the capitalist countries should unite and, under the leadership of the proletarian party, unite all forces that can be united to overthrow the imperialist rule in the colonies.Compared with the non-violent non-cooperative movement, the idea of? ? national self-determination,and human rights and humanitarianism,Lenin's colonial theory puts more emphasis on the leadership of the proletariat and the way of violent revolution.Judging from the post-World War II history,in some colonial and semi-colonial countries, the proletarian political party with highly organized discipline and strong combat effectiveness were established.Under the guidance of Lenin's colonial theory, the leadership of the proletarian revolution has achieved national independence, the liberation of the people and the socialist states. The birth of Lenin's colonial theory has a profound historical background and theoretical roots. As capitalism entered the stage of imperialism in the 20 th century, the conflicts between the imperialist countries fighting for colonialism, and the contradictions between the imperialist countries and the colonies became increasingly acute. The success of the October Revolution predicted that the proletarian revolution could be achieved at the weak points of imperialism. The victory also explored a new way for the vast colonies to carry out the proletarian revolution to overthrow imperialist domination and win national independence. The theoretical sources of Lenin's colonial theory mainly included Lenin's thoughts on national equality, the socialist national self-determination,his imperialism theory, and the Soviet regime theory. The integration of these thoughts formed a Lenin systemic theory on how to solve colonial problems.Lenin's colonial theory had an important influence on China's revolutionary practice in the 1920 s and 1930 s.The Chinese Communist Party inherited and developed Lenin's theory of imperialism and colonialism in the practice of the subsequent revolutionary movement, and combined it with the reality of China to explore the correct path of national independence and people's liberation in a semi-colonial country in the East. The Communist Party of China leads and unites the broad masses of the people and carries out armed revolution to overthrow imperialist rule in China. The great victory that won through the struggle against imperialism and colonial rule led by the Communist Party of China is a glorious example of Lenin's colonial theory guiding the anti-imperialist and decolonize revolutionary practice.
