Forty years since the Chinese economic reform,our socialist market economy has been rapidly developing,reaching the second place in the international economic aggregate ranking.Concurrently,various social issues have become increasingly prominent.Philanthropy,as the third distribution of public welfare,is concerned with people's livelihood and social welfare level.The enterprise social responsibility is demanded at a higher level.The theory for enterprise social responsibility has further expanded to social charity responsibility.Our society has more and more demand for enterprises to carry their charity responsibilities.Private enterprises are not only the basic organization of regional economy,but also the basic organization of regional society.Nowadays,the proportion of private enterprises in China's socialist market economy is increasing.Private enterprises bear the responsibility of public welfare and charity,which plays a more prominent role in China's economic development and social stability.The charity responsibility represents the highest level of social responsibility for an enterprise,while the later constitutes asignificant part of the former.The charity act of an enterprise not only is the most familiar act to the public,but also the most concerned one.The charity act plays a vital role in the sustainable development of an enterprise.If not done properly,it would impact negatively on the social opinion.Therefore,the performance of public charity responsibilities by private enterprises can bring good social benefits to private enterprises and entrepreneurs as well as allow them to better participatein social life and carry social responsibilities.So what role do private enterprises play in China's public welfare and charity? What difficulties do they face in their involvement in charity? How to effectively help them resolve the conflict between corporate profits and participation in charity,so that they can better provide social services and fulfill their social responsibilities while creating more corporate-profits?The thesis begins by the introduction to summarizes the status quo of private enterprises' participation in charity and public welfare,and then puts forward problems and difficulties faced by private enterprises,clarifies research purposes and methods,and defines relevant concepts.Then the current situation of domestic and foreign research is sorted out,and the basic theory of research is expounded..And then,this paper summarizes several types of public charity and charity participation modes of Chinese private enterprises through literature search and selection,and also summarizes the difficulties faced by private enterprises in public welfare and charity participation through investigation and research.Research shows that China's private enterprises carry out charitable activities in recent years rendering multi-layer and diversity characteristics.The main problems of private enterprises to participate in public welfare charity include lack of initiative,awareness bias in participating in charity activities,lack of specialization in charity activities,too much formalism in participating in charity activities,low level of philanthropic culture and so on.Finally,put forward the appropriate way to improve the overall level of private enterprises to participate in charitable activities and more professional from the government,society and enterprise itself.Through comparative analysis,we have further explored the countermeasures for the private enterprises in China to better participate in public charities.The hope is that the thesis provides a comprehensive picture demonstrating the practical implementation path of Chinese private enterprises participating in charities.
