Study On Ecological And Intensive Urban Cemetery Based On The Composite Burial Space Of Multi Types

Nowadays with the acceleration of the aging of population,the contradiction between the increasing number of the dead and the shortage of urban land is intensifying,and people who confront with such social problem even cannot afford their own funerals because of the extremely high price of the cemetery.Also,the traditional burial usually puts up a tombstone,but this model has over occupied the land and caused pollution of land hardening,which is against the contemporary requirements of ecological sustainability.In addition,since the end of the 19^th century the Ministry of Civil Affairs has begun to advocate a new land-saving burial model that occupies no or less land.However,the acceptance of this mode needs to be improved,requiring not only policy persuasion but also new ways to solve the problem from a design research perspective.Moreover,the cemetery has always been a taboo in traditional Chinese thought.The cemetery,like a chronic disease or a dead place,often deprives the surrounding area of its vitality,which is not conducive to city development.The Chinese government is now vigorously promoting the modern reform of funeral and interment that is land-saving,eco-friendly and humanistic.To deal with all the problems mentioned above,and to meet the requirements of the reform,based on the the increasing trend of the constant promotion and the increasing proportion of the new multi burial types,this thesis puts forward a research subject of the composite design of a new and multi burial types for cemetery in urban space,and attempts to realize the pluralism,ecologicalization and intensification.It tries to find the respective advantages and disadvantages through the comparison of different burial types.This thesis will also draw lessons from excellent cases from Europe,America and Hong Kong and Taiwan,and to summarize and develop the design methods of different new ecological burial types,as well as to apply them to the design and application study of cemetery and columbarium combined with practical projects.
