Foreign investment law is the law that is concerned with the regulation of foreign investment in a country. This law can find the sources at the domestic and the international level. As we all know, foreign investment can better promote the economic construction and development of the host country.Foreign investment law plays a very important role in the protecting and supervising the foreign investment. As a French-speaking country,Mali's foreign investment law is greatly influenced and inspired by French foreign investment law.Although the French foreign investment law has increased the rate of foreign investment law in France, the situation in Mali is not exactly the same. Why is that? This study responds to this question through a comparative analysis that highlights differences and similarities to show existing gaps. The objective is therefore to define the legal framework in which these investments are treated and to highlight them in order to identify their weaknesses and provide legal solutions. The improvement of the context may vary depending on the openness or the restrictive policy of the host country. The study covers several aspects of the topic, starting with an analysis of the legal sources, then a comparison of regimes to identify existing problems, and then settle on an adequate solution for promoting and improving the legal environment attached to the foreign investment. The study shows that, unlike France,Mali's investment law has developed a little slowly, and there are still some deficiencies in its enforcement. In order to meet the needs of investors,Mali urgently needs to take action to improve the investment environment and revise its investment legal texts.Although France has attracted more foreign investment,it must lower its requirement for investors and supplement the protection standards of foreign investment in its Code to promote and improve its level of attracting foreign investment.
