Research On The Influence Of Political Connection On Ambidextrous Innovation

In the time of technological innovation reshaping the structure of global economy,the innovation is critical for both the country and the enterprise,and the acquisition and allocation of innovative resources plays an important role in it.The source of funds is a key issue of enterprise innovation,and government subsidies can precisely mitigate the constraints of insufficient funds for enterprises.Under the background of "human relations" deeply ingrained in China,whether the relationship between government and enterprises will affect the acquisition of enterprise innovation resources,such as government subsidies,and whether it will affect the use of enterprise innovation resources,such as exploration innovation investment or exploitation innovation investment,is a matter of concern.At present,the research on the influence of political connections on enterprise innovation is rich at home and abroad,but few scholars distinguish the different types of innovation to study the impact of political connections on ambidextrous innovation.Therefore,the research on the influence of political connections on enterprise ambidextrous innovation has important practical significance and theoretical value.Based on the perspective of resource-based view,this thesis studies the relationship between political connections,government subsidies and corporate ambidextrous innovation,trying to tease out the path and effect of corporate political connections in corporate innovation.Firstly,this thesis analyzes the antecedent variables and consequences of the ambidextrous innovation,the motive of establishing political connections and the influence on enterprise innovation and the motive and function of government subsidy;Secondly,this thesis expounds resource dependence theory,resource-based view and the theory of government intervention,which provides the theoretical basis for the following analysis;next the relationship between political connections and ambidextrous innovation,political connections and government subsidies,government subsidies and ambidextrous innovation and the role of government subsidies in the political connection and ambidextrous innovation are analyzed,and the related hypothesis of this thesis is put forward;Finally,according to the research hypothesis,the model design is carried out,and the data of gem companies from 2013 to 2016 are used for regression analysis,and the empirical results are discussed.The results of the study show that:(1)the political connection of the company promotes the exploration innovative investment in the enterprise,while inhibiting the exploitation innovative investment of the enterprise;(2)the political connections of the company help enterprise get more government subsidies;(3)the government subsidies obtained by the enterprises promotes the enterprise exploration innovation investment but have no obvious relationship with the exploitation innovation investment;(4)the government subsidies play an intermediary role between enterprise political connection and the enterprise exploration innovation investment,which indicates that the political connections of the enterprise promotes the enterprise exploration innovation activities by promoting the government subsidies obtained by the enterprise,but the intermediary role between the political connection and the exploitation innovation investment is not established.The research in this thesis refines the behavior of enterprise innovation investment,enriches the research on the consequences of political connections,and also expands the research on the influencing factors of the ambidextrous innovation,and provides the decision basis for the selection of enterprise innovation strategies,and provides some suggestions for the enterprises to allocate the government subsidies for exploration innovation and exploitation innovation,which is of great significance to improving the ability of independent innovation.
