Agnes Smedley was an American left-wing journalist,writer and revolutionary activist who was active in modern China.During the visit to China,her truly,objectively reported the communist party of China and the Anti-Japanese War,writing a lot of reflects the work of the Chinese revolution.It has the important value of modern history of China and history of the communist party of China.Shanxi is one of the main battlefield of CPC in the early period of the Anti-Japanese War.The eighth route army in Shanxi Anti-Japanese War record not only reverse the situation in north China and the national Anti-Japanese War,and that attracted a large number of domestic and foreign journalists.During October 1937 to January 1938,the beginning of the out-break of the Anti-Japanese War,Smedley had a deeper understanding of the Anti-Japanese armed forces led by the CPC and the significance of the Anti-Japanese War in Shanxi to the national Anti-Japanese War because of the in-depth interviews ofthe battle field behind enemy where leaded by the eighth route arm.So far,most studies on Smedley had focused on journalism field,while most studies on party history had focused on the diplomatic exchanges between Smedley and the CPC.This paper intends use the research perspective by the history of the communist party of China to analyze the reports of Anti-Japanese War in Shanxi by Smedley deeply and probe into her contribution to the Anti-Japanese War in Shanxi,and with the change of relations between the communist party of China to enrich the content of the related research field.The paper is divided into the following parts:The first part is the introduction,which briefly introduces the research significance,research purpose,research status,research content and innovation points of the paper.The second chapter discusses the historical background and personal factors of Smedley's report on the Shanxi Anti-Japanese War.The third part summarizes and analyzes the series of Smedley's reports on the Shanxi Anti-Japanese War.The fourth part is mainly about significance and enlightenment,deeply exploring the historical significance of Smedley's report on the Shanxi Anti-Japanese War and its enlightenment and experience to the contemporary construction of our party.The fifth was divided into conclusion.Summarizing and analyzing experience of Smedley in Shanxi and delving into the influence of Anti-Japanese War,CPC and the her life by reports of Smedley of Shanxi Anti-Japanese War and CPC.The interview of Smedley in Shanxi,on the one hand,recorded what shesaw and heard on the front line of Shanxi's Anti-Japanese War,leaving us precious historical materials.On the other hand,she supported the eighth route army against the Shanxi resistance with her own practical actions.During the three months of her interview with the eighth route army,her true and objective news reports made people around the world understand how the eighth route army led the Shanxi Anti-Japanese War.After the interview,she continued to make speeches,collecting donations for the eighth route army and appealing for medical aid.Under her appeal,all sectors of society are eager to donate money,and international friends are also helping.Therefore,based on history,it is of great significance to carry out the research on Smedley report on Shanxi's Anti-Japanese War.
